Customer Update
A Note on Shipping Delays
With recent storms and unusually high shipping volumes, USPS distribution centers across the U.S. have experienced significant congestion—especially major hubs such as Memphis. This can result in delayed scans, missed origin scans, and longer “in transit” periods even after your package has been handed to the carrier.
What’s happening
As a result of current carrier conditions, USPS tracking updates may appear delayed or inconsistent. In some cases, packages are not scanned promptly (or at all), even though they are moving through the network.
If your order is time-sensitive, we recommend selecting UPS at checkout rather than the free shipping option.
What SunCloud® is doing
- Shipping orders as quickly as we always have.
- Handing packages to USPS the same day they leave our facility whenever possible.
- Monitoring carrier performance so we understand what’s happening with your shipment.

Shipping Delay FAQ
Clear answers to the most common questions during current carrier congestion.
Will my USPS package be delayed?
Possibly. USPS is experiencing widespread delays. Our fulfillment and staffing remain the same, but transit times may exceed standard estimates. Some shipments take longer than First Class (3–5 days) or Priority (2–3 days). Tracking scans may be delayed, and packages may remain “in transit” between facilities longer than usual.
Why does SunCloud® still offer USPS shipping?
USPS pricing helps keep shipping accessible—especially for lighter domestic orders and many international shipments. Removing USPS options can significantly increase shipping costs for customers. We work to preserve affordable choices while still offering faster upgrade options.
Why can’t you tell me exactly where my package is?
Once a package is transferred to the carrier, we do not have access to additional location details beyond what the tracking system provides. We understand that can be frustrating, and we share that frustration when scans are delayed.
What if I don’t want to use USPS?
If timing is critical, we recommend choosing UPS at checkout. These carriers are generally providing more consistent tracking and faster delivery during current USPS congestion (though occasional delays can still occur).
