Can I change the direction of the cushions?

The SunCloud® Tailbone Cushion is intentionally designed to be reversible. You can place the open channel under the tailbone, pelvic floor, or perineal area depending on your comfort needs. The SunCloud® Travel Cushion also offers flexibility — whether you're seeking lumbar support during long flights or pelvic relief in the car, it's designed to move with you.

Care Instructions for Seat Cushions & Foam Liners

Outdoor Water-Repellent Cotton Canvas. Brush off or wipe away any residue. Spray with a mild cleaning solution, then gently wipe the fabric clean. Rinse with water and allow it to fully air dry. For more in-depth cleaning instructions, refer to our guide.Kid & Pet-Friendly Performance. Blot any stains or residue with a paper towel. Spray with a mild cleaning solution, then gently wipe the fabric clean. Rinse with water and let it air dry completely.Super Cleanable Faux Leather Vinyl. Spray with a mild cleaning solution and wipe the surface clean. Rinse with water if needed, then allow it to fully air dry. FOAM LINERS: This fabric can be machine washed and tumble dried on low. For best results, wash with similar colors to prevent bleeding or fading. Do not bleach.

Do the cushions include zippers?

In 2024, we upgraded all SunCloud® seat cushions to medical-grade zippers, designed to provide easy access when removing foam or changing liners. We recommend gentle cleaning with mild soap and cold water using a soft cloth. Always allow the cover to air dry to help maintain the longevity of your cushion.

How does the built-in comfort channel work on the seat cushions?

Our Tailbone Coccyx U-Shaped Cushion cradles the pelvic floor with a standard 3" wide inner channel, helping reduce pressure during prolonged sitting. The SunCloud™ Travel Cushion features a wider channel 3" that extends to 11” in length — ideal for accommodating an ice pack or extended relief needs.

What are the dimensions of the cushions?

What does ILD mean in regards to the foam?

ILD stands for Indentation Load Deflection, a measure of foam firmness. It refers to how many pounds of pressure are needed to compress a 4-inch thick piece of foam by 25% (with a 50-square-inch surface area).

A higher ILD = firmer foam. Our cushions come in a range from X-Soft to X-Firm to suit every comfort need.

What is the lifespan of the cushion foam?

Our seat cushion foam is designed to last 5 to 7 years — often longer with light use and proper care.

If your cushion starts to lose shape, feel overly soft, or develop surface cracks, it may be time for a replacement. For longest-lasting support, we recommend Medium or Firm foam options, which hold up best over time.

What makes your foam superior over others?

Our cushion foam is CertiPUR-US® certified, which means it has passed rigorous tests for durability, performance, and safety. This ensures our cushions are free from harmful chemicals and safe for long-term daily use.Specifically, our foam is:

  • Made without ozone depleters

  • Free of PBDEs and Tris flame retardants (TCEP, TDCPP, TDBPP, or TEPA)

  • Free from mercury, lead, and heavy metals

  • Formulated without formaldehyde

  • Free of phthalates regulated by the CPSC

  • Low VOC (less than 0.5 PPM) for indoor air quality. You’re not just getting comfort — you’re getting clean, certified support you can trust.

What type of fabric is used?

We offer three performance-driven fabric types: Performance Kid + Pet-Friendly Polyester — stain-resistant, durable, and easy to clean; Faux Leather (Eco-Friendly) — antimicrobial, anti-fade, and bleach-safe; ideal for medical or hospital settings; Canvas Outdoor/Indoor Waterproof — heavy-duty, weather-resistant, and built for rugged use. All fabrics are tested for durability, comfort, and cleanability — so you can pick what suits your environment best.

What type of foam do you use?

Our most popular foam is firm (2.5 lb / 45 ILD), ideal for users under 230 lbs. It’s long-lasting, certified for safety, and retains its shape over time without flattening.

We also offer multiple foam densities (X-Soft to X-Firm) so you can tailor the cushion to your exact support needs.

What’s the difference between your SunCloud® Coccyx and Travel Seat Cushion for tailbone pain relief?

The SunCloud® Coccyx Cushion features a shorter open channel, specifically designed for localized tailbone (coccyx) relief and pelvic alignment.

The SunCloud® Travel Cushion, on the other hand, has a longer channel that extends further along the cushion to support the entire pelvic floor, offering added relief for multiple pressure points and broader pelvic discomfort.

Both are lightweight, portable, and customizable to your comfort needs.

Were your cushions once called CAPPS Cushions?

Yes. From 2018 through 2023, our cushions were referred to as CAPPS Cushions, which stood for Chronic Abdominal Pelvic Pain Syndrome. During that time, the name helped clearly identify the specific medical need the cushions were designed to support. As our customer base grew and the benefits expanded well beyond that original use, we rebranded toSunCloud® to better reflect the full range of people and situations our cushions support. While the name evolved, the product quality, design, and purpose remain rooted in that original work. We were the originators of the CAPPS acronym as it relates specifically to seat cushions.

What’s the best seat cushion for pudendal nerve pain?

Pudendal nerve pain requires a cushion that reduces pressure on the perineal area while supporting the tailbone and hips. SunCloud® cushions are designed with customizable foam firmness and coccyx relief zones, making them a preferred choice among pelvic pain specialists and chronic pain sufferers.

Can SunCloud® cushions help with pelvic floor dysfunction or Endometriosis?

Yes. Our cushions were originally created to relieve pelvic pain from Endometriosis and pelvic floor dysfunction. The ergonomic design, cutout style, and medical-grade materials help reduce inflammation triggers, support posture, and minimize pressure on sensitive areas during sitting.

Are SunCloud® cushions suitable for post-surgical recovery or wheelchair use?

Absolutely. Many of our customers use SunCloud® cushions after pelvic, hip, or spine surgery, as well as for long-term wheelchair support. With multiple sizes and foam levels, you can find the right combination for pressure relief, posture correction, and healing comfort.

Travel Use

Do you offer FAA-approved seat cushions?

Yes! Our faux leather travel cushions are made with FAA-approved, medical-grade certified fabric from our trusted supplier. Ideal for long flights, car rides, or everyday use, they offer exceptional comfort and support while meeting all airline safety and performance standards.

Domestic Shipping

Can I update my shipping time?

Absolutely! You may request a change to your UPS Ground Saver shipping time by contacting us at or shortly after placing your order. While some items may not be immediately available, we’ll do our best to accommodate your timeline and expedite your order when possible.

How long does it take to receive my item once it is ordered?

For domestic orders, most in-stock and non-customized items are shipped via USPS or UPS Ground Saver and typically arrive within 5–8 business days, if ordered by 3:00 PM MST.

We are a USA-based manufacturer dedicated to producing high-quality cushions—not overseas knockoffs. Please note: shipping delays may occur during holidays, adverse weather, or when processing wholesale/custom orders.

International Shipping

Do you ship internationally? Are there any restrictions?

Yes, we currently ship to Canada and the UK. For other international destinations, please reach out, and we’ll prepare a custom shipping quote based on your location.

Please note:

  • Some countries charge VAT, duties, or import fees, which are the customer’s responsibility. We recommend checking with your local customs office before placing your order.

  • We are not liable for any fees, delays, or losses incurred outside of the USA.

  • Shipping times may be extended due to carrier staffing shortages, weather disruptions, or customs delays.

How long will Customs take to clear my parcel?

Most parcels clear within a few days, but Customs may take up to 15 business days depending on the destination and local inspection requirements. If your order is delayed, Customs or the carrier will contact you directly.

How will I know if my international parcel is being held in Customs?

If your package is delayed by Customs or quarantine agencies, you’ll receive a direct notification from them or the carrier. You may also see tracking notes like “Held at Customs” or “Possible delay.”

Why am I being charged for duties on my international shipping?

  • Each country has different rules regarding import duties, VAT, and brokerage fees. These are assessed by the receiving country’s customs authority, not by SunCloud®.

  • We do not include these fees in your checkout total.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to pay any duties required before delivery.

  • We are unable to dispute or reduce international customs fees on your behalf. For concerns, please contact your country’s Customs office.

  • International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees imposed by their country. These charges are not included in product or shipping prices.

Do you ship to third-party shipping brokers or freight forwarders?

For security reasons, we do not ship to unverified third-party shipping brokers, freight forwarders, or intermediary addresses. All orders must include a valid recipient name and a verifiable final delivery address.

Our founder was raised in a values-driven military family, where integrity and accountability were foundational. Those same principles guide our business today. We are committed to ethical practices and will not engage in transactions involving manipulation, misrepresentation, or pressure.

Orders that cannot be verified may be cancelled at our discretion, and no payment will be processed.

Returns | Refunds | Exchanges

Do you accept returns and/or exchanges for any of your products?

We accept returns and exchanges only on our seat cushions. Due to the intimate and custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges on other items such as our perineum ice packs.

My cushion arrived, how can I exchange my foam?

Please include your order number and the foam density you'd like in exchange (X-Soft, Soft, Medium, Firm, or X-Firm). We’ll send a prepaid USPS return label and ship your replacement foam (or cushion) via USPS or UPS, subject to availability.

Note: Returned foam must be clean and unused — free from stains, soil, pet hair, or dander. For Coccyx foam, do not fold the insert to preserve its shape and performance.

What is the return | exchange policy for the Seat Cushions?

Return & Exchange Policy

We offer a 14-day trial period (calendar days) on all SunCloud® seat cushions, starting from the date of delivery.

For returns (with no exchange), you have two options:

  1. Self-Serve Return – Log in to your customer account, click the return link, and follow the instructions.

  2. RMA RequestContact us directly to request an RMA number to begin your return or exchange.

To qualify for a return or exchange, seat cushions must be in like-new condition (no stains, odors, or damage caused by improper packaging). Once we receive and inspect your cushion, your refund or exchange will be processed within 7–10 business days.

For exchanges, please specify:

  • Shape: Travel or Coccyx

  • Foam height: 2" or 2.5" (Plus)

  • Foam density: X-Soft, Soft, Medium, Firm, or X-Firm

Warranty & Care

Manufacturing & Use Disclaimer

If you contact us regarding a concern related to sewing, zippers, stitching, seams, or fabric, your claim will be submitted to our manufacturing team for review. Each case is evaluated individually to determine whether the issue resulted from a manufacturing defect or from misuse, improper handling, or excessive force.

Our cushions are constructed with heavy-grade zippers and zipper heads, selected for durability and long-term use. These components are intentionally higher quality than those commonly found on mass-produced cushions. Our fabrics are carefully selected and tested for performance, durability, and intended use.

The covers are designed to allow the foam to slide in and out smoothly when handled as intended. Damage caused by rough handling, forcing the zipper or foam, over-stuffing, improper cleaning, exposure beyond the fabric’s intended use, or general misuse is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not eligible for replacement.

SunCloud® cushions are a premium product and should be treated as an investment. With proper care and normal use, they are built to last.

Custom & Special Orders

What’s the Custom Order process for Seat Cushions? Are they eligible for returns or exchanges?

We proudly offer Custom Orders for customers who need unique shapes, sizes, or support levels. Simply send us your drawing with dimensions, and we’ll create a prototype for review before crafting your final cushion. This service is available for a one-time $35.00 custom manufacturing design fee.

Please note: Because custom cushions are made to your specifications, they are non-refundable and not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Can I customize my cushion size or foam firmness?

Absolutely! We offer a range of custom sizes and foam firmness options—from ultra-soft to extra firm. Whether you need extra support, a special fit for your wheelchair or chair, or a particular foam density, we’ll help you build a cushion that’s tailored to your exact comfort needs.

TRICARE Insurance

I have TRICARE insurance. How do I submit my claim for reimbursement?

To request reimbursement, please visit the TRICARE Resources – Filing Claims section for full instructions on how to submit your claim.⚠️ Note: It is not the responsibility of PPS to file insurance claims on your behalf.

Our SunCloud® Pelvic Cushions are TRICARE-approved as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and may be eligible for coverage or reimbursement depending on your individual plan.

Check for your eligibility with your provider. TRICARE is available Kroeger, Rite-Aid, Walgreens and Walmart plus many more pharmacies.

You may need to reference one of the following HCPCS billing codes when submitting your claim:

  • E2601 – General use wheelchair seat cushion

  • E2603 – Skin protection wheelchair seat cushion

  • E2605 – Skin protection and positioning seat cushion

  • E2607 – Custom fabricated wheelchair cushion

TRICARE Coverage for Medical Support Cushions

Yes! Our SunCloud® and Pelvic Pain Solutions® seat cushions are TRICARE-approved Durable Medical Equipment (DME) when medically prescribed. They’re designed to support those recovering from injury, surgery, or living with chronic pelvic or back pain. TRICARE follows Medicare’s guidelines and classifies cushions by HCPCS billing codes, which must be included in your prescription for reimbursement eligibility.

Steps to Submit a TRICARE Claim

  1. Visit your provider and request a prescription with one of the codes above.
  2. Include details about your condition (pelvic pain, injury recovery, mobility needs, etc.).
  3. Submit your claim through your TRICARE regional contractor (e.g., HealthNet, Humana).
  4. Attach:
    • Your prescription
    • Proof of purchase
    • A letter of medical necessity (if required)
